This week jazz and classics returns with several free outdoor venues. Tonight we enjoyed cello and guitar concerts followed by a cabaret. The cellist, Zuill Bailey, said his fingers felt like they’d been dipped in ice water. The Grammy winning guitar virtuoso had never been to Juneau and kept blowing warm air on his hands.
A new group called Theater ALASKA performed at Twin Lakes. It was byoc or bring your own chair! The singers did broadway tunes and jazz standards accompanied by the one and only Rob Cohen!!
I stopped by Foodland on the way home and a friend called this “Maytober”. It’s been in the 40’s all month. Brrrrr. We are all wearing down jackets and wool hats longing for summer. We pretty much have given up on spring.
The photo of Twin Lakes did show a promise of broken clouds and perhaps some warmth tomorrow.
